Davide Orifici appointed new Director of Public & Regulatory Affairs and Communications

Davide Orifici has been appointed as new Director of Public & Regulatory Affairs and Communications of EPEX SPOT. In this role he is in charge of government relations and represents the company in the corresponding public and regulatory authorities as well as on EU level and the professional energy associations. He is also speaker of the Exchange. Mr Orifici has over 25 years of experience in public affairs and multi-cultural communications – for private companies, humanitarian foundations and the diplomatic service of Switzerland. After working for Transmission System Operator Swissgrid as Senior Manager Public Affairs & Community Relations, he joined EPEX SPOT in 2014 as Head of Swiss Office and was appointed Director of Public & Regulatory Affairs and Communications in September 2020.

Mr. Orifici follows Wolfram Vogel, who previously held the position of Director of Public & Regulatory Affairs and Communications, and who left the company on 15 September 2020. Vogel joined the European Power Exchange ten years ago and he was also the speaker of EPEX SPOT. Mr Vogel will join a Public Affairs Consultancy, Jurka Political Strategic Advisors as Managing Director. In this role he will be in charge of managing and developing the group whose offices are based in Berlin, Paris and Vienna. His focus will also, but not exclusively, be on energy and infrastructure. Between 2009 and 2010, Vogel has already been working for Jurka PSA GmbH as Consultant.

EPEX SPOT thanks him for the excellent cooperation and regrets the departure of Mr. Vogel, who is leaving the company at his own request.
